Goose, turkey, quail, guinea-fowl growing is not developed in Russia yet: it constitutes just 1% of poultry meat production. The rest of the market is divided between broiers and layers. Nevertheless a class of entrepreneurs receiving good income from "non-traditional" poultry growing has emerged in the country during the last 10 years.
